Okay - I had to reschedule my test date. So from tomorrow I have exactly 6 weeks to study. And I've devised a study schedule. I found that it was just too difficult to try to study for that and also take my 2 classes online, work full-time, and volunteer full-time. But I think I have a handle on things and I'll be able to conquer it since the quarter ends on Sunday and I've decided not to take classes this next quarter so I can solely concentrate on the GMAT.
So this full-time volunteer stuff.....I was told that volunteering is a great way to beef up your apps, etc. I was already volunteering on a hit or miss basis for the local Humane Society (huge animal lover here) and found that I just wasn't making a huge difference or impact. Through a friend and a husky I fostered for awhile, I found the greatest rescue organization! It's small and I feel as though I play a vital role in the organization. I've been with them now since last October and in January I was "promoted" to treasurer of the organization. It's great!! I actually feel as though I make a difference. Since it is a smaller organization I wear many hats.....anything from running dogs to their vet appointments, meeting new foster parents, to dealing with all the accounting aspects to running events. It's great but at times very time-consuming. But oh so rewarding when a dog is placed with a loving home and is given a second chance!! Check them out - www.coastalpetrescue.org. It's great!!
